Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Franchise Law of counsel Joseph C. Wasch and Real Estate associate Frank Whitaker successfully represented the purchaser in connection with the acquisition of eight Tropical Smoothie Cafés located on the Treasure Coast of Florida, in a deal valued at over $5 million. In a little less than a month, assignments, assumptions, and lease negotiations were completed with all landlords involved. Additionally, a $5 million bank loan was negotiated and closed in connection with the transaction.

Mr. Wasch provides more than 40 years of experience in concentrating his practice on franchise industry matters, involving business structuring, entity organization and corporate governance, private equity and debt financing transactions, acquisitions, and sales of businesses, drafting and reviewing software and intellectual property licensing/sale, employment law and human resources issues, trademark matters, purchase contracts, and complex commercial transactions. Mr. Whitaker concentrates his practice on counseling buyers and sellers in a broad range of real estate transactions, including the development, purchase, sale, and leasing of commercial, office, and residential real estate.  He regularly represents institutional and hard money lenders in all manners of commercial real estate financing and provides counsel on land use matters, real estate litigation, and all manner of corporate formation and governance matters.
